Our Story

BlokTeh Academy was founded in 2019 by a group of educators and technology professionals who recognized a critical gap in the American education system. While the world was becoming increasingly digital, millions of students and adults lacked the basic computer skills needed for academic success, employment, and everyday life.

What began as a small pilot program at a single high school in Austin, Texas, has grown into a nationwide initiative serving over 15,000 students across 42 states. Our founders believed that every person, regardless of their background, age, or geographic location, deserves access to quality computer training and digital literacy education. That belief remains the cornerstone of everything we do.

The name "BlokTeh" reflects our building-block approach to technology education — starting with fundamentals and stacking skills progressively. Today, we offer comprehensive programs spanning computer basics, office productivity, digital design, typing skills, and online safety — all delivered through our proprietary School First methodology.
